INTRODUCTION
WHAT IS GEODE
G2 Enterprise OE Discovery Engine, better known as GEODE, is an article curation tool presented in a newsfeed style incorperating advanced analytics intelligence for use in the U.S. Army.
GEODE is designed with user specific customization tools such as article filtering, by trends, topics, and insights, along with the ability to curate their newsfeed, comment, favorite, and share news articles.
WHAT WAS MY ROLE
For this project, following the creative lead, I was tasked with supplemental UI/UX work, creating mockups for system search functionality, site navigation, and the article newsfeed. I also provided icons and graphics as needed.

Data is the key with GEODE, focusing the design around how to display data analytics. My role on GEODE was to assist the lead product designer in the design process of efficiently organizing the data in GEODE along with reviewing documentation and designs.
CAREFULLY CURATED NEWS
The goal in GEODE is to provide users the opportunity to dynamically get the most out out of the world's news. Offering a newsfeed that can be tailored based on their topics of interest and the further filtered to their specific needs.
A NEW WAY TO SEARCH
Based on how GEODE functions, all of the articles and news are run through an AI that reads and collects the vital information to be displayed in a coheasive data visualization. The challenge was building a framework to take the raw data collected and transform it into a visually pleasing layout through an AI.
